So you are obsessed with the new HBO hit and want to find out which Euphoria character are you, huh? Welcome to the team! Coming of age is challenging for all of us, but in this series, “growing pains” are taken to a whole new level. Even the best pupils at the East Highland High School suffer from bad habits, volatile relationships, and dangerous loyalties. Some crumble under the weight of such dramas, while some rely on quick thinking, creativity, and even good PR to escape the mess.
If Euphoria as a whole could be a zodiac sign, it would undoubtedly be a Sagittarius: Intense and spontaneous, yet so artistic and colorful. This is, in large part, thanks to the diverse cast. Each of them has flaws and stories, making them appear so dear to the audiences who might see themselves in these characters.
Based on your zodiac sign, we will match you with your closest euphoric twin. Would you be the protective Fezco or the free-spirited Maddie? C’mon, we will spill the tea!
A Brief Introduction To The Series
For any of you who were upset that the Emmy Award-winning Zendaya had nothing else to do except selling doughnuts and imprisoning supervillains in Spider-Man: No Way Home, get ready for her other edge in Euphoria. The story follows her leading character, Rue, a usually bright and nice girl yet suffers from severe drug addiction, fueled partly by the loss of her father.
After falling in love with Jules, the new kid at school, Rue actually manages to stay sober during a decent period of Season 1. Over time, though, Jules begins to consider a life outside of her little town, and their relationship slowly falls apart. Season 1 wraps up with a heartbreaking farewell to Rue at a train station, as Jules leaves for college.
How does this series – filled with sex, drugs, violence, and dark emotions – become so popular, you ask? For many teenagers, Euphoria reflects a life they are all too familiar with yet has never been shown on the screen. They know the high schoolers in Euphoria are out there, whether they’re friends, family, or people they know on the internet.
Euphoria (2019) Official Trailer
The fact that there are many controversies surrounding HBO’s hit also adds to its popularity. Where does Euphoria take place? Did the show’s creators manage to portray Generation Z, or is it a somewhat mock realism? We’re leaving these questions to the fans, but for now, let’s focus on the main topic – which Euphoria character are you, based on your zodiac sign?
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Aries (March 21 – April 19)
“The universe is just out here giving zero f*cks.”
Fierce, passionate, and forthright – if you are an Aries, you are sharing many personality traits with Maddy. The above quotes can sum up this young lady as a whole – she is not afraid to be herself, but also a bit reckless. She is never the kind of person who thinks twice before acting.
Maddy’s characteristics can be seen clearly when Nate invites another girl to the party, trying to agitate her. Instead of turning the other cheek, she chooses to flirt with another guy right in front of him. People born under Aries embrace love in an aggressive and contradicting way, just like how she does.
Taurus (May 20 – April 20)
Have you ever wondered how a drug dealer can be so lovable and empathetic? Well, perhaps because he is a Taurus. Being a typical Taurean, Fezco treasures his family and friends more than anything. It hurts him to see them struggling.
His loyalty is exactly why this fella is a fan favorite. If he is truly a Taurus, though, it is very unlikely he will choose another career path in the latest season. We all know that it is impossible to change the Bull’s mind.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
A unique sense of humor, a brilliant mind, and flexibility – Cal Jacobs embodies all Gemini traits. He even lives a double life just to feel better about himself – a very Gemini thing that’s it.
Being known as the masters of deception, these airy creatures get bored quickly and can adapt to any scenario. However, Mr. Jacobs doesn’t have the twins’ carefree attitude. As seen on the show, he often feels chained down by the family, which is something Geminis can relate to.
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
What do you know about Cassie? Well, most people only remember her appearance, but this girl is much more than just a pretty face. In many ways, she possesses every trait of a Cancer: Soft-spoken, feminine, and sensitive.
Cancer is associated with home, roots, and motherhood – themes that are emphasized in Cassie’s arc. She feels for everyone deeply, like most Cancers do.
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Indeed, Nate Jacobs has somewhat of a regal reputation in his community. Still, that’s not his only Leo thing. The lion’s worst weakness is their pride, and Nate is willing to give whatever it takes to maintain his status. It turns him into a dangerous guy, just like how Elordi talks about his character: “An emotional terrorist, a narcissist, a sociopath, a freak.” We can see this in other Leo characters, such as Blaine from Glee.
Though being cold-headed, Nate never forgets to compliment ladies on their beauty, even in inappropriate situations. He is a romantic at hearts, and like all Leo, this guy gives off an inscrutable intrigue. Blame it on the jawline and the complexity of his draconian shenanigans: we just can’t look away.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
In the opening episode, it is revealed that Rue’s birthday is Sept. 14, 2001, making her an undisputable Virgo. Represented by Mercury – the planet of communication – people born under this sign can process information quickly. That said, Virgos are highly analytical and prone to self-criticism.
We see those characteristics in Rue – our hilarious and heartbreaking narrator who calms her racing mind with drugs and obsessive love. Virgos are extremely devoted, but worst of all, they tend to believe that they know what’s best for others or themselves — even when they are clearly wrong.
Rue is brought to life by Zendaya, herself a Virgo, proving that it takes one to play one, folks.
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Libra (September 23 – October 22)
In the first episode of season 2, we are introduced to Elliot – the new kid in town, portrayed by musician Dominic Fike. He’s handsome, bad-behaving, and the first line he delivers is a lie – the holy trinity of Libras.
The commonalities and chemistry Rue shares with Elliot threaten her relationship with Jules. Being a Cardinal sign, Libra signals the beginning of serious changes. Just like Zendaya revealed to Entertainment Weekly, Elliot “is a beautiful addition to this triangle, because he’s also a catalyst for so much that’s gonna come to a head, and without his character kind of cracking that open, there’s a lot of changes within these characters that wouldn’t happen and need to happen. And a lot of realizations that wouldn’t be made without him coming into the fold.”
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Turning sex into bitcoin and bitcoin into new clothes while making money from the comfort of your room? That’s the most Scorpion thing I’ve ever heard. Kat is ultimately a Scorpio: She is intuitive, secretive, and most of all, highly creative. Those compliments she gets when it comes to sex is another Scorpio thing, but let’s discuss it another day.
When Kat sees Ethan flirting with an attractive girl, she shuts down and is mean to him because she doesn’t want to get hurt. Despite the intensity of her feelings, Kat tries her best to bury them and hide her weaknesses.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
The stereotypical Sagittarius natives are known for their exuberance, optimism, and endless adventures. At the same time, these fiery creatures are also the greatest thinkers among the zodiac. That’s what we can say about Ali.
This can be seen in Euphoria’s Christmas special ‘Troubles Don’t Last Always‘ when Rue and Ali spend the entire episode at the diner and talk about the grim truths of substance abuse. Rue’s sponsor Ali might have a wild past but has transformed himself into a brutally honest intellectual.
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
Virgo and Capricorn is undoubtedly a terrific duo. Being Rue’s childhood best friend, Lexi doesn’t care about her fame, looks, or the glitzy makeup trend.
Instead, she pays attention to herself, as well as those she loves. She works hard to support her friends, including Rue, who she considers a part of her family.
Capricorn nature is clearly seen in Ashtray’s real talk to Rue: “Like, listen to yourself. It’s f****** exhausting”. Certified sea-goat gangster.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
The Braveheart war cry/death rattle of “Freedom!!!” perfectly capture the essence of Aquarius’ spirit. Jules, the ethereal object of Rue’s desired, portrayed by the most talented Schafer, is the perfect example. Her one-of-a-kind makeup layout, her affinity for one-night hookups over monogamous partnerships, and her risky behaviors such as meeting old dudes in questionable hotel rooms fully reflect the Water bearer.
In one of the show’s most touching scenes, Jules texts Rue just to say “I miss you”. While water natives tend to pour their hearts out, that’s all the emotions you can draw from an Aquarius: Three simple words is the greatest love expression they can give you.
Which Euphoria Character Are You – Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Just one scene in season 1 and we can all tell how Suze Howard – Rue’s mother – is an apex Pisces. Swigging wine and slurring words at the dinner table, she asks Rue if her daughter ran into any cute boy at the rehab. This question wraps up the escapist energy of Pisces perfectly, and while love is the preferred drug of this, they’re willing to settle for warm, boxed chablis.
“I hope people really feel something — whoever really truly needs it; needs to see that they’re not alone, that their experiences are valid, and what they’re going through is real, and that they’re not the only person in the world that’s living with what they’re living with,” said Zendaya. “That’s what we want. When you’re going through shit, you often feel like you’re alone, that the world is against you, and that’s what life does. So it’s important to know that you aren’t. I just hope that whoever truly needs it will find it.”
“Feel something” – that’s the tagline for Euphoria, and also the goal of this series. It’s definitely working, because each of us can see a part of ourselves in each character. So, which Euphoria character are you? Share with us in the comment!
