His mother, Marilyn “Kitty” Haywood, was a member of the Chicago-based all-female vocal group called Kitty & the Haywoods, and his father is Robert Lincoln Weaver. He said in multiple interviews that his interest and passion for performing started early on in his life while he was studying Illiana Christian High School and Thornwood High School.
